I fly Allegiant often, and their "personal item," the only unpaid baggage option, is 18x14x8" (at this time). This bag fits within those requirements, and it actually holds quite a few things. I can pack two extra outfits, toiletries, and pajamas easily into the bag, as well as a small purse and my tablet. The bag has a plastic pocket for wet items, or to isolate potentially leaky items, and two mesh pockets inside, which can fit a wallet and phone. The main bag body is unlined, though the canvas is thick enough to feel as if it won't rip. There are two outside open pockets, that could hold water bottles, or a phone (although unsecured), and two zip pockets. For carrying, there's the choice of short carry handles, or one long crossbody strap. The Rose color is a very bright pink--almost fluorescent--and distinctive enough that, if you had to spot your bag in an overhead bin, it would be hard to miss.Honestly, for the price, this is a well-constructed bag, with more pockets and organization than I'd expect. It's lightweight on its own, and, with the amount that it holds, is unlikely to get packed too heavily. For an overnight or weekend trip, this saves me baggage fees and is strong enough to hold what I need. And a budget bag (albeit a very functional one) for a budget flight just seems appropriate. I will save my bigger suitcases for the longer flights, and, even then, because of the trolley strap, I can use this bag as my second item or underseat bag to complement my main one.
